About NFL Legends Community
Launched in 2013, the NFL Legends Community celebrates, embraces and connects players with each other, their teams and the league. In November 2019, the NFL Legends Community celebrated a significant milestone – 10,000 former NFL players are now a part of the Legends Community. Additionally, the NFL Legends Community provides unique opportunities to engage players year-round. From Legends Weekend celebrations, Draft Day parties, community outreach and Legends golf tournaments, nearly 3,000 Legends participated in events hosted by their teams last season. Twenty-four former players serve as Legends Community Directors and Coordinators and streamline communication and are a central resource for Legends across the country to learn about programs and benefits available to them. Items tagged to the NFL Legends Community will be earmarked by the NFL Foundation to support the philanthropic endeavors and important community work NFL Legends are involved with year-round.
